ALBION TASTING ROOM

Our Tasting Room, right by the orchard in Albion (open Saturdays from noon to six between April and November), is the place to come to try all your favorite Freedom’s Edge ciders, plus some new ones available nowhere else. Ned’s always experimenting in the cidery, and nearly every week there’s something new to try.

We love meeting our customers, and we rely on you to tell us what you like, what you don’t like, and what else you’d like to see from us. We’re always happy to give you a tour of the cidery or the orchard, or just feel free to wander around on your own. Dogs and kids are always welcome, though we do ask that they’re under voice command or leashed. The dogs, that is.

We offer some snacks and light bites, and an assortment of lawn games scattered around. There’s a fire pit always going in the fall, and the bar seating is all under a covered awning in the unlikely event the weather ever turns wet.

Portland TASTING ROOM (Coming soon!)

We recently began construction on a year-round tasting room in the East Bayside neighborhood of Portland, located at 31 Diamond Street. We’ll be announcing our grand opening soon, but expect it to be very early spring 2024.

We’ll have a full line-up of your Freedom’s Edge favorites, including Sweet Mullet and our Cider Cocktails, along with some very special barrel-aged ciders (on draft and in bottles) that will be exclusively made and sold at the Tasting Room.

Connect with us on Instagram @freedomsedge or Facebook @freedomsedgecider to be the first to hear about our opening, food offerings and special events!

What’s on Tap

Original Blend

The classic, and still our best seller! A balanced, semi-dry cider made from a blend of local dessert apples along with traditional English bittersweets. Easy drinking, with good body and a clean finish.

Redfield Rosé

An off-dry cider made from bittersharp Redfield apples. The Redfield is a naturally red-fleshed apple (that gives this cider its remarkable pink color), and is one of the few apples that makes a well-balanced cider all on its own.

imperial PEACH

A collaboration with our neighbors at Locust Grove Peach Orchard on Quaker Hill, this apple-peach blend is highly concentrated (13% ABV), slightly bitter, aromatic and delicious.

Sweet Mull-et

A slightly sweeter but still balanced fall cider with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel and mulling spices. Like drinking a slice of fresh apple pie!

Dab/rus Barrel SerIES

Made from a blend of Dabinett and Russet apples. This full-bodied golden russet, with its notes of honey perfectly complements the smokiness of the dabinett to create a richly satisfying blend

Freedom’s Edge GOld

Our off-dry limited release premium blend, reflecting the best expression of the 2020 harvest. This year’s blend is made from Northern Spy, Golden Russet, Yarlington Mill, Dabinett, Ellis Bitter, Ashton’s Bitter and Wickson apples.
